Great, affordable gym. Family friendly

The hubby and I got rid of our OneLife memberships after over 5 years because our apartment complex has a gym and we wanted to save money. The gym wasn't cutting it though, so we decided to check out Williams Farm Rec Center. For Virginia Beach residents, the membership is only $98 for the entire year per person (group classes not included -- that's at a different cost. Although, it looks like they offer free classes here and there).

We have been using the upper level only which consists of a bunch of cardio machines, areas for weightlifting, and an indoor track! My husband says it feels like we are at a OneLife, which is awesome. Aside from that, they have an awesome pool, which we have yet to check out. We love it! For $8 a month, you get so much more than what you're paying for. I feel so much more connected to Pharrell, haha :) Of course he got a skateboard park built outside as well.

Love this facility - great pool!

My son Loves going to this Rec Center. He likes it over the New Kempsville Rec. He said it is not as crowed as the new Kempsville Rec. He said he Loves going to this Rec Center.. Way to go Pherrell...

This is one of the best Recreation centers in VB I love the Pool area and the slide is amazing

I love this rec center

I love the indoor track; however, there were a lot of children running around and dancing in the locker room. Also, the only way to wipe off a machine is to use a pre-used/soiled towel (I started taking my own wipes but that became a task). Additionally, the locker cost $.25 as opposed to a free locker at a gym. Unfortunately, I did not renew my rec membership and I went back to a gym.

Walk/running track, pool, basketball courts, weights.
